    JEWISH VOCATIONAL SERVICE OF CINCINNATI
 
 
  Ashire Communications provides broad public relations services to JVS, which serves
  people with developmental disabilities. JVS also runs the Cincinnati Career Network,
  which offers career coaching to anyone.
 
  Here are highlights of how Ashire has helped JVS:
 
  • Helped to organize and publicize the 70th anniversary celebration of JVS, drawing more than 150 supporters. News coverage included a photo spread of the celebration in the American Israelite as well as a story and photos in Northeast Suburban Life.
 
  • Arranged for Peter Bloch, JVS president and CEO, to appear on WCET, Cincinnati's public TV station. Peter explained how JVS continues to provide great services, despite economic challenges.
 
 
  • Wrote the annual JVS fund-raising letters and supported the fund-raising campaign in other ways, including a story in David's Voice, an online publication of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. Despite the recession, the campaign raised more than ever for the Cincinnati Career Network.
 
  • Generated a story in Northeast Suburban Life, a newspaper distributed to several Cincinnati suburbs. The photos and stories, which appeared on page A1, focused on the 70th anniversary of JVS.
 
  • Wrote about the Cincinnati Career Network, a JVS program. CCN's caseload has nearly tripled since the recession started. The story appeared in David's Voice.
 
 
  • Generated a story in The Enquirer's Good News section about Marge Selm, a JVS employee who was highlighted because of her devotion to individuals with developmental disabilties.
